Call no. 5/1 Innovative SMEs-European Partnership on Innovative SMEs/Eurostars: joint transnational call for proposals (CALL 8 of Eurostars-3)

Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and their partners in the development of international collaborative research and development (R&D) and innovation projects. The goal is to develop innovative and marketable products, processes, or services.
Eligibility Criteria:
To participate, the project must meet the following international criteria:
- Consortium: Led by an innovative SME based in an eligible Eurostars country.
- Composition: At least two independent entities from two Eurostars countries (at least one must be an EU country or Horizon Europe-associated country).
- Budget: SMEs must cover at least 50% of the total project budget. No single participant can exceed 70% of the budget.
- Duration: The project must be completed within 36 months (extensions are possible with justification).
- Civil Focus: Only civilian applications are eligible.
Eligible Eurostars countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Italy, United Kingdom (among others).
Self-funded participation: Allowed for non-Eurostars countries.
Application Process:
- Consultation: Contact the national funding body to discuss the project and requirements.
- Registration: Create an account on myeurekaproject.org.
- Completion: Fill out the online application in English and attach the following documents:
- Signed declarations and commitments.
- Financial documents (if required, such as business plans or financial reports).
- Technical attachments (optional), such as a Gantt chart.
- Submission: Submit the application before the deadline.

Evaluation Criteria:
- Implementation: Quality of the consortium, project management, and planning.
- Impact: Market size, competitive advantages, economic, environmental, and social impacts.
- Excellence: Degree of innovation, technical knowledge, challenges, and feasibility.
