Kick-off meeting of project GUSTI

GUSTI – Gastro UpScaled Tourist Itinerary in rural regions of Croatia and Italy, project partners participated in the initial meeting of the project on July 17 and 18, 2024.

The leading partner of the project is Lika-Senj County, and Gospić was chosen as the meeting destination. Other partners in the project with Lika-Senj County and Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA are: Public institution Regional Development Agency of Karlovac County – JURRA, Regional Development Agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva County – DUNEA, Venetian Cluster, Emilia-Romagna Region, Spin Life S.r.l. , Apulian Public Theater – Regional Consortium for Art and Culture. Affiliated partners are the Ministry of Regional Development and Funds of the European Union, the Tourist Board of Karlovac County and the Council of Europe (Office in Venice).

The introductory meeting presented the project activities as well as the dynamics of their implementation. The project partners also held a meeting of the Project Management Board.

The GUSTI project aims to strengthen the role of the intangible cultural heritage of the Adriatic region through the identification, valorisation and promotion of gastronomic tourism, as well as solving the problem of diversification of tourist flows, equal access to tourist destinations by promoting sustainable practices and solutions.

The project started on April 1, 2024 and will last 30 months. The role of the Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA within the GUSTI project is to participate in activities and exchange knowledge and experience in the field of gastronomic tourism development and valorisation of cultural heritage.
